Key responsibilities:

1. To identify a number of External Experts in their assigned geographic regions, design a plan to proactively engage External Experts
2. To meet with External Experts to gain an understanding of their views and appropriately inform about information relating to diseases of interest to products
3. To act as a trainer/developer of external speakers and provide ongoing scientific support
4. To respond orally or by providing appropriate written materials to unsolicited requests for on- or off-label information or safety concerns
5. Internal Speaker for independent and sponsored programs for healthcare professionals, Patient Community
6. To facilitate, present at, or otherwise participate in sponsored Advisory Boards
7. Scientific presenter to Pharmacy & Therapeutics and formulary committees
8. Medical trainer to the CIS Sales Force regarding VHL products and the conditions they treat utilizing approved Sales Training materials
9. To support clinical development activities by participating in the site identification and assessment process, addressing subject retention and other scientific issues in partnership with study management and monitoring
10. To accept Investigator Support Studies (ISS) proposals for marketed products, and serve as a liaison for the potential investigator.

Knowledge/ Education / Previous Experience required to perform this job:

· Knowledge: comprehensive knowledge of drug clinical development process, policies and regulations

· Education: Medical Doctor, Degree in Medicine (desirable)

· Experience: Clinical practice, Scientific Research, Presentation Skills, Teaching (desirable), Marketing (desirable)

· Fluent English (oral and written)

· Advanced PC user (including search for medical information)

Minimum Level of Education:

Medical Doctor

Preferred Level of education:

Medical Doctor with specialization in Infectious Diseases, Degree in Medicine (desirable)

Job-Related Experience

· Possesses solid knowledge of pharmacology and pharmacotherapy in humans and has experience practically applying this knowledge in a clinical setting.

· Extensive clinical experience in situations where direct or indirect decision making authority for patient care was demonstrated (e.g. direct patient care, treatment protocol development, drug therapy guidelines development, traditional clinical pharmacy practice settings) or medical liaison experience.

· Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities

§ Project management: Excellent skills across a diverse portfolio of products and complex relationships, to exacting deadlines and high standards and requirement

§ Proven track record interfacing with Marketing and Clinical operations team
